TOPIC: How to stop Link history type URLs in the message

How to stop Link history type URLs in the message 8 years 4 weeks ago #34597

Hi

Although I don't select "Enable link history" on the "Send" screen of the message all links appear in the receiver's side in this form:

"http://<mydomain>/index.php?option=com_rsmail&task=redirecturl&cid=40&sid=21304&url=aHR0cDovL2dlb3RlZS1hbnN0ZS5nci9pbWFnZXMvaW1hZ2VzL05ld3NsZXR0ZXJfMTdfM18yMDE2LnBkZg=="

Is it possible to eliminate this?

These links work correctly but I want to simplify the content of the message as much as possible, because the gmail (only gmail)) recipients get it in their spam folder with this note: "It contains content that is typically used in spam messages".

The message body is pretty simple text with various links in

Thanks

Hello,

This is due to the tracking done by the component for the number of times each link is accessed. This tracking is done independently from the `Enable link history` setting. When the `Link history` option is enabled, the component will record the number of times each link is accessed and also which subscriber accessed the link, when this is not enabled the component will only record the number of times a link is accessed.
