TOPIC: What to do with hackers ip address

What to do with hackers ip address 13 years 2 weeks ago #15039

Hi, This software is great and has found a few ip addresses constantly trying to hack my site. I have blocked this hacker from ever accessing my website but Is there a place I can report the ip addresses for other joomla uses or like an IP hackers police I can pass details on.

I just think that hackers need reporting, even "named and shamed" but not sure if there is a place for this.

Thanks for any comments or help.

Hello,

We do not have such a place on our site where you can report the IP addresses of the hackers that you encountered.

Hello,

Unfortunately there is no way to automatically blacklist an ip after a number of failed login attempts. However you can consider enabling the "Additional Backend Password" from RSFirewall! and this will require all users to input this password before having access to the Administrator Login form.
