TOPIC: Pre-sales question - JomSocial intergration

Pre-sales question - JomSocial intergration 15 years 3 months ago #9470

Hi, could please assist me with a pre-sales question.

I am creating a Joomla 1.5 based ‘community site’.
I would like to use JomSocial for creating user profiles.
There are two member groups;
Payed members - that can list their profile information, create articles and create events and accept payments in advance for events.
Basic members - that have limited profile information and can browse and review articles, browse profiles of payed members and can browse and sign up and pay to attend events.

I’ve reviewed your site, but to be sure - can you please advise if I purchased RSEvents! and RSMembership! that they will both work with JomSocial in the manner above?
Also could you please advise if I purchase RSTickets! and RSMail! That these two additional products will work seamlessly with the software listed above.

Cheers

Mark

Hello,

I am not quite sure i understand how you would like to integrate RSEvents in your process. Please note that this is a event manager component, not profile manager.

With RSMembership! you can add content restrictions based on sections, categories and specific URLs... If the two groups are differentiated by the URL (have some sort of unique ids) you can use RSMembership by using wildcards:

Yes - RStickets! and RSMail! have no conflicts.

Hello,

Events created via RSEvents are not literally added to their profile page. Links to those events are added to the users's profile page.

Hello,

In the JomSocial profile a list of the events that these user owns is displayed. A list of the events that the user has subscribed to it is also displayed.
