I too had this problem and figured it out, but this seems like a really silly way to do it. We are going to use this component to have people submit events via our website. No one is going to know the coordinates of their event. Shouldn't it automatically add the location based on the address? I also have the problem with the google map only showing one view no matter what I change it to.

Hello,

Unfortunately in the current version of RSEvents! and of the Google Maps there is no other way to display the location on the map and so the user will have to type the coordinates of the location.

If the location is not displayed correctly in the front-end please make sure that you have cache disabled on your site from both Plugin Manager > System Cache and from Global Configuration > System. Also please delete the remaining cache from Tools > Clean Cache.

It's definitely possible with Google Maps. I've seen lots of web apps plot an address with the google maps API.

Hello,

Please note that you don''t actually need know the coordinates of a location... you can simply pin-point the location directly on the map.
Please note: my help is not official customer support. To receive your support, submit a ticket by clicking here
