Hi,

I just ask my hosting provider about the requeriments needed to install RSEvents and this his answer:

> The minimum requirements to run RSEvents! are:
> Joomla! 1.5
> PHP 4.x
> MySQL 4.2
> You must ensure that you have MySQL, XML and zlib functionality enabled
> within your PHP installation.

Any specific XML extensions? By default we do enabled --with-xml when we
compile PHP. Zlib and MySQL extensions are both standard on our installs.

> Apache extensions or functions : cURL , fsockopen , fopen , file_get_contents
> are required.

fsockopen requires socket support which we do not have enabled on our PHP
installs. The rest is available.

> We recommend:
> Joomla! 1.5
> PHP 5.x
> MySQL 5.x

By default our servers are running PHP5 and MySQL 5.

Then... Wath problem can I have with "fsockopen" not enabled??

Thank you

Hello,

If you have the other functions enabled you will be fine and RSEvents will work properly, due to the fact that RSEvents uses alternate functions to achieve the desired functionality.
