Is there a way to turn off registration of guests so that they can do paypay but there is no automatic creation of a Joomla account. This is critical or else I have made a big mistake in going for this component. If all else fails, can we disable guest access (presumably with groups) but still get them to pay and use the paypal records for registration information?

I'm also after this feature and I too will be in a world of trouble if it's not possible. I have submitted a ticket.

I submitted a ticket as well. I'm the only person with access to my Joomla site and the last thing I need is the security nightmare of having all sorts of people become users on Joomla.

Hello,

The subscription part is indeed very essential, however in its current state this can't be done.

If the RSEvents component automatically creates a member for everyone who subscribes to an event, can you explain how it would be possible use this on a site that charges for access?

If we want to provide the priviledge to display events to subscribers only, won't people who then sign up for an event ALSO be able to post events of their own?

Is there a subscription component that will allow only paid members, not just registered members the ability to create events?

Hello,

Please note that you can assign the registered members to a certain Group in RSEvents! that has the option "Users in this group can post events" set to No.

Then you can assign the paid members to another RSEvents! Group that has the "Users in this group can post events" set to Yes.

Hello everyone,

A new feature has been added to RSEvents that will allow event registration without the creation of a new user ( Components > RSEvents > Settings > Events > Enable Registration of Guests ).

You can check out the full change log here:
