Hi

Im not quite sure how to setup google maps. I have enabled maps under settings and pasted in my API. But when I click on an event to view the details about the location, only the text info address details appear. What am I missing? The component should grab the location automatically right??

THanks

Hello ,

What you have to do is go into the Location Manager and set the coordinates of your location.

Ok, I'm having the same problem, I set up googlemaps, I got a key for my domain and got the coordinates of my address, changed them, and saved it. When I browse locations, my location, at the bottom of the page I see the right part of the google map I specified but in the web page, in event details, a click on my location brings up only the text part but no map! My url is gsync.eu
Thanks.

Hello,

You actually have to edit the created location and pin point a location. It does not create the location on googlemaps based on the provided address.

Works now! gsync.eu.
Thanks a lot, I was introducing the coordinates in the wrong place.

This seems like kind of a waste of a feature? It is really a pain to find the coordinates of an address and all this. Shouldn't we be able to just put in the address and shouldn't it just pin-point the location for us?

I mean we have to put in all of this information and STILL go find the coordinates ourselves. Doesn't really make much sense you know what I mean? I was very disappointed when I found that this how it worked. I bought this program specifically for the feature of integration with google maps. I thought it would be great to type in the address and get the location map right there. That is how I understood it to work. I could of done this method myself.. In fact, its almost easier to use a third party application which works just like I mention above.

Is there any way to modify the code that drives the generation of the Google Map so that when you click on the red tear-drop it shows more than just the street address in the popup point?

I'm specifically looking for the Directions link so people can type in their starting address and get directions to the event.

Thanks!
