I have a couple of questions on features:

1) Does RSEvents support iCal format/webcal protocol (so I can see my RSEvents entries in my Google calendar)?

2) Does RSEvents have some sort of event export function (either front-end or back-end)? Or is the schema sort of self-explanatory that I can write my own export SQL script?

Thanks.

Hello ,

1. For now RSEvents doesn't support the iCal format. This will be integrated in our future revisions.

2. What exactly are you looking for when you say you want to export the events.

Thanks for the response.

For exporting events... We create a calendar of events and then make the calendar available online for users. We also publish this calendar of events in various print magazines throughout the year. It is always easiest to maintain one calendar of events and distribute that event list to other mediums.

The print mags to which we currently publish our calendar takes a CSV file of the events of a pretty simple format: event date/time, event name, short description, web URL, contact info.

Up until now we've had to replicate the event list for the print mags and, of course, problems (errors) arise. An export function of our online calendar would be best or maybe create a CSV file of the events via a simple SQL script if the schema was open/self-explanatory would also work.

Hi, I wanted to know if there has been any progress on exporting to Google Calendar? It's something I need for a client. Thanks.

Hello,

This feature is still under development. It will be added to RSEvents! in the component's future updates.
