TOPIC: Include a plugin in the event template

Hi,
I'm trying to insert a non RSJoomla plugin into my event template. It requires that I insert a simple {mainvote} or {extravote #} tag and it should work. However, I can't get this to work. I tried this, and it IS possible to insert RSForm Pro forms into the event template by using the {rsform #} tag though. Is there something I need to do to make this other plugin work inside an rsevent page?

Note: the plugin I'm trying to do this with is enabled in the plugin manager and it works properly inside a basic joomla article.
