TOPIC: Extending or customizing search

Background: We have two websites (a joomla site and an external site that is custom html only).

Need: One search option on our primary joomla site that shows results from both sites.

We are looking for a product that will allow a search of the live site and also one of the following:

1) allow appending to search results custom html via php code

and/or

2) append google search results of the external site

Will RSSearch do this? If so, can you provide some quick directions on how to set it up? If not, can you tell me if it is possible to add some type of functionality to it to allow one or both of the above?
