TOPIC: Sporadic form submissions actually make it to me.

Sporadic form submissions actually make it to me. 15 years 4 months ago #9325

Im totally confused. I have joomla 1.5.15 installed and i purchased the RsForm! module. Plugged it in, configured it...and started sending information. The first few went through fine and then people started complaining that they are sending the form info but it never got to its destination.

I then look on the email server and sho' nuff, only about 60-80% of the forms are actually making to its destination. The other 40-20% just seem to poof into the cosmos.

The same thing happens no matter where i send the info (company email or gmail account, or even both) same results.

Ive also changed the way joomla mails. Php and sendmail...with the same result.

this is on a linux godaddy hosted account. I was also wondering if it has to do with godaddy's smtp servers. those are just pointing to the default secureserver.com address's

anyone else having any issues like this?

Ok, the EXACT thing is happening to my site! Just started maybe 24hours ago?
We have used three versions of these forms for over 6mths and it has worked perfectly and never dropped an email. Now we aren't receiving any. Also on godaddy and linux. Could it be on their end? Appreciate if you find anything out!

Hello,

Please make sure that the email configuration from RSForm! is correct. You can check this by making sure that the placeholders are valid and that the email placeholder/placeholders return valid email addresses and that the manually typed email addresses are valid.

Also please note that RSForm! is using the default Joomla! mail server. So you can check if the mail server is functioning correctly by creating a new Joomla! user. By doing so an automated email should be send.
