I am trying to get rid of "This is a tryout version of RSform!. Click here to purchase a license."

When I click "If you are using a tryout version, click here to update to full version." on my RSform! 1.0.4 installation, I get the following:
I then went directly to RSFORMS, purchased a licience, and inserted the new code using "Your code" and "Modify Registration".

This is my second licience I purchased trying to get this working, and I have several other sites I want to use this on. My site is located at http://www.mysite.com/index.php/component/forme/?fid=1

Please help!

Sorry i have a simular problem, but only on the last line:
Error, invalid license code or remote file _update_rsform.xml not available

Can someone please advise?

In order for the upgrade to work, the directories
components/com_forme
administrator/components/com_forme
should be CHMODed to 777 using your FTP account.

I am glad I am not the only person with this issue.

I am going around in cirlces with support trying to find out how to upgrade.

Having to back up, uninstall, re-install something then add a code seems dnagerous
especially when the thing nearly works.

Anyway, hopefully they might rewrite the above upgrade form so that it is more obvious
how to upgrade.

I think the upgrade from tryout to full version using the link isn't working too well currently. I raised a support ticket and when I couldn't do the upgrade I was advised to uninstall and reinstall. The steps are as follows:

• create a backup of your forms - there is a useful function built into the component for this;
• uninstall the tryout version - use the module manager and look at the components list for find the form component;
• download and install the full version by going to My License Codes, clicking on the downloads link, selecting component and choosing whichever is for the version of Joomla! you are using;
• type in the license code;
• restore the forms using the feature built into the component

I'm using Joomla! 1.5.8 and the whole process went smoothly and took just a few minutes.

Same problem, reinstall is not working for me.
