TOPIC: eMail-Address-Validation error [solved]

eMail-Address-Validation error [solved] 16 years 7 months ago #4829

Since I Updated to REV 19 of RSFORM!Pro, the eMail field behaves in a strange way. If i enter a right

eMail-Address and forget to fill out another required field, the eMail field is filled with javascript code.
(Unable to parse, since it is forbidden in the forum and the ticketsystem).

Javascript is enabled in the browser.

A test-Url is www.flocki-druck.de/angebote/vereine . Just enter a valid eMail-Address and leave all other fields blank. Then Click on \"Abschicken\" -> The bug appears. Joomla Version is 1.5.3.

It is very important, that this is solved, because it is a productive system.

Thanks for your attention.

Regards,

Alexandru Plapana (RSJoomla-Support) gave me the following advice:
In order to resolve this issue go to Extensions > Plugin Manager and disable the Content - Email Cloaking.

That solved the problem for me.

Worked for me too - thanks! Though I would prefer to still be able to have email cloaking enabled.

Is there a way to solve this issue and still keep Email Cloaking enabled? I would like to keep my site's user information as secure as possible, while still auto populating form fields for specific users. Thanks!
