TOPIC: HTML Email content not saving

HTML Email content not saving 16 years 7 months ago #4665

Hi,
I'm sure someone else must have had this problem but i can't find it in the forum.

When I add content in the html parts of both the user/admin emails, the content I add isn't saved and the emails sent are blank?

any ideas?

Thanks,
Tony

Hello Tony,

are you sure that you ticked the blue line, saying \"Edit the e-mail text\"? That should bring you to the editor, where you can save that part of the form.

Cheers, Jimmie

Yes, when i click on that, the wysiwyg comes up and i can type my html msg in there, but the problem is that when i click save, or save & close, it doesn't save...

So when I open it again, the message I typed is not there at all?

Is it perhaps because of the wysiwyg I'm using? I am using www.wysiwygpro.com

Please let me know as this is really frustrating.

Yip....I agree!

Let me know if you find anything...I have this problem in RSForm and RSForm Pro, so I'm sure we're not the only ones....

Not sure if this will help or even the same problem but I also had a problem when saving.

What I found was when I had 'auto generate layout' in Form Layout unchecked (to remove <div class=\"componentheading\">{global:formtitle}</div> ) , is when it never saved other things I had done to the form. It's a small hassle but I solved it by simply rechecking 'auto generate layout', saving the form with all my changes then coming back to Form layout, unchecking 'auto generate layout', deleting (<div class=\"componentheading\">{global:formtitle}</div> ) then and saving again.

Hope that makes sense. Basically it seems to be an issue with auto generate layout on or off.<br><br>Post edited by: rickenbacker, at: 2009/01/20 03:15

I did this and it didn't work at first.

Then I changed from HTML to Text in the Admin email... tried changing. Then when I came back, the email was blank. So, I changed it back to HTML, copied and pasted the text in again and it saved that time.
