Hi,

I'm using J! 1.5.6 and the latest version (as at 22 August 2008) or RSForm! Pro. I have a UTF-8 database. I have the german laguage pack installed.

When I enter german characters with umlaute, in the Form editing window, the text appears correct. When I preview the form, umlaute characters a, o and u all appear as question mark in a diamond (in most browsers, or in IE6, a questionmark or space)

If I edit the form by typing in the UTF-8 code for one of the characters, it then displays correctly on the edit window AND on the preview.

When I view the source of the preview page, I see UTF-8 code where I typed it manually, but even on the source view, the other characters show question mark in diamond.

When I view the fields in phpMYadmin, ALL characters display correctly. I can change all sorts of other things but these conditions are the same.

Is this something to do with my template? The edit form is visible through the administrator template, but the preview is using the front end template. (I have tried with all default joomla 1.5 templates and the result is the same) Is these some line I could enter to make sure the display is correct?

Please help if you know the answer!

thanks

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem - did you ever get it sorted?

Thanks!
