TOPIC: Getting a productnumber in a form

Getting a productnumber in a form 16 years 8 months ago #4390

Hi,

I am making a website that is not using Virtuemart but i use only content pages. So i have a menu products, divided in the catergories of products and these are divided in the actual products. So 1 product is shown on 1 page with a picture, productnumber and its specifications. On that page i want to add a form for inquiry so i need to know the productnumber when they send the inquiry. Can i make 1 form and use this in all my products and create a field that will indicate the productnumber (this changes with differetnt products) or do i need to create a form for each product seperatly and make a text field for that productnumer?

Hope to have a reply soon.

I could be wrong, but in your case, I think you would need to create a form for each page. Unless the vales are stored somewhere (other then just html), I would not think there is a way to call them.

I could be wrong, someone with a bit more knowledge might chime in...

You could create a drop down with the Product Names/Numbers listed.

i.e.
Product1|123456
Product2|123457
Product3|123458

That way they select the product, and you get the number.
