TOPIC: where/how can I edit this?

where/how can I edit this? 16 years 8 months ago #4362

Here is a good synopsis of why I can't get the admin email to work in this instance. If anyone out there understands this issue and can help provide some direction as to how to modify component to address this, it would be greatly appreciated.

\"There in lies the problem. When my email filter sees
This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it I receive the following error... \"450
<root@ip-only-146820.localdomain>: Sender address rejected: Domain not
found\". This happens before any of my filters are applied which means it
is a global setting that I would have to change. Basically the rule is now
that the system checks to see if the message is coming from a valid domain
before it accepts the message and starts running the rest of the filters. I do
not feel comfortable turning this off or know if I even can without taking to
my hardware vendor. Is there a way you can change the sender information so
it is coming from a valid domain? At least my email filter will be able to
see the domain is valid and accept the mail in. Once it is in I can manipulate
the rest of the rules to ensure nothing else blocks it. I hope this makes
sense.

I'm not sure but this sounds like an issue with your host/web server, I'd suggest getting in touch with them. Alternatively Alex might be able to help you by hacking the component, submit a ticket and see what he can do for you.

Good Luck
