I have created my first form using the trial version of RSForm!. First let me say that I am happy so far and will be purchasing it in a couple of days if I can get this sorted out.

I have created my first form, a basic form to upload files to my website. It asks for your name and simple stuff. My problem is that the field title is only about 7 letters wide, so when I call it \"Full Name:\" it wraps arround and is on two lines. It looks terrible.

I have tried to shorten the names of my fields, and I have noticed that as I did this, the coloumn got EVER SHORTER. I havnt found any setting, and everything I see on htis website says I will have to creat my own html. Well, I havnt dont any html for about a decade now and am pretty scetchy about it.

By default, what is causing the form to only use about 60% of the availible site width, and what causes the field name column to change width? I tried using really long names to see if it make it longer but after trying a few things it seems pretty random to me. I need some help. I want to get this working and then pay for the full version - but obviousely I am not willing to pay if I cant get it to look good. What can I do?

NRyan,
Your problem can be easily fixed by giving the table column a width in pixels.

Many of the questions posted in these forums are related the lack of understanding of how html tables work. If you want to know how to style your forms there are some posts in these forums.

But to really understand what you're doing it's imperative you understand how to use and manipulate html tables. Take an hour or whatever time you need and learn how html tables work, it's not that complicated.

RSForm makes it very easy to manipulate the tables in any form but you need a basic understanding of how html tables work.

I suggest a starting here
www.w3schools.com/html/html_tables.asp

Happy Coding

Thank you for trying to help me, i read the article you linked to... been a whiel since i went to w3 schools. Unfortunately i ddint see it talk about setting widths. It seems after experimentation that i am not having a table width problem, but rather a column width problem.

It seems that there are three columns in the traditional form - title, name, and description

My problem isnt that the form itself doesnt span my web space - but rather that the first two columns are very skinny (causing wrap arround) and the description column seems to be longer. is there a such thing as <td width> ? - I dont really know what I will ned to do only how I want it to look.
