Hi all,

Just curious...is it possible to combine the joomla user registration module with an RSForm? I'd like to allow those who fill out my form via RSForm to be able to register themselves as users on the website at the same time within the same form. Otherwise they have to fill out two forms. One for the info I need and the other to register themselves.

Let me know, thanks! :)

I am looking for the same and face now the same dilemma.
It should be added in the settings/functionality of the form. Its diffiicult to find a customised form that can act as a replacement of the default registration form.

I'm wondering the same thing. No one seemed to have an answer for the last two so......

Is it possible to create a form in RSforms!Pro and use it as the Joomla user registration form?

Anyone???????

Thanks,
Adam

I've never tried it, but if you figure out what data goes in what database tables to create a new user, you could use the \"script called on form process\" to populate the tables. It could be a security risk, though - be sure to validate the content. I have successfully used RSForm to populate tables of another extension, so it seems reasonable to assume that one could do it for the main Joomla tables as well.

It seems natural that RSForm had better to be the best way to customise Joomla registration form

I am also looking for the way to extend the Joomla registration to add all the information required for the needs of my users, but also for instance to use email as username. It look also easy to change this with RSForm.

I look forward to hear from someone who has experienced with this and I am specially worried to know if the email checking process works

Post edited by: alexenergy, at: 2008/08/31 11:31
