TOPIC: RSForm to RSFormPro upgrade

RSForm to RSFormPro upgrade 16 years 10 months ago #3482

I'm not saying this is a bug and if I'm posting in incorrect forum, please move. I simply wanted to make a \"report\" of what I found when I upgraded from RSForm to RSFormPro with the upgrade file.

The upgrade pack worked wonderfully and migrated my form to pro with just a click, but there were a couple of minor things I noticed.

On the migrated form, when I attempted to edit a text box and give it a size and a max size, the change didn't appear to take - at least in the edit component screen. A new text box that I added to the form took the new settings and saved them just fine.

The other minor thing I noticed was that I had set an Additional Attribute for one of the fields and it didn't migrate with the field.

Like I said, just really minor stuff, just wanted to report it for you.

I just love the Pro version. This may sound rather trivial, but one of the nicest things is that I can develop an email specifically to go to the person administering the form submissions and one that is sent to the requester. VERY nice. The rest of it is very nice too, but that is just too cool.

This post makes it sound like RSForm Pro comes with some way to migrate my forms from RS Form to RS Form Pro. Is this true? There are some other posts that sound like this feature is not yet available.

The availability is relatively recent. It's very easy to use - just go to the install panel in Joomla! and upload the file (leaving the original RSForm! stuff in place), then a few clicks and you're done! It's great. B)
