TOPIC: Component access from menu item

Component access from menu item 16 years 11 months ago #3054

Hello

Can i access to the component from a menu item ? When i create a new menu item which is directed to RSformpro component i've got this error message :

Warning: mysql_data_seek() [function.mysql-data-seek]: Offset 0 is invalid for MySQL result index 39 (or the query data is unbuffered) in root\components\com_rsform\controller\functions.php on line 780

What does it mean ??
Thanks
Thomas

hello

Finally, i found a solution. From the admin, when you edit your form you can preview it from the toolbar so you can copy the url and create a new item menu to it.

When trying to link a menu item to RSform, there is no where to select which form to link to. I think that is why I am getting the above error.

What i do is to create a new item menu not to a component but to a link-url and i paste the url that i previously copy when i preview my form... is it clear ??

What I did as a workaround was link a menu item to an article that has the following plugin code: {rsform 1}

The number is the id of the form.

This will load the form as it normally would, however, it is just a workaround not a fix.

I just downloaded and installed and get same error. The bug is when you add to menu, the link that is created for the menu item does not include the correct link. Can someone let us know when this is fixed? Thanks!

Hello everyone,

this issue has been fixed yesterday and it should work without problems. Although updating should fix it, i recomment re-installing the whole component.

Please, anyone who's getting this error and can't make it run even after re-installing, send me an e-mail and i'm sure we'll get it work.

I apologize for the inconvenience. It was a bug that i have not seen but now is fixed.

Alex.
