I'm very new to all of this, but I'm learning fast.

I have created a form for my users, and when they submit it, I would like for it to automatically post into a Fireboard forum topic.

I'm guessing that it could be done, and that I might learn something by viewing the code in the Fireboard Discussbot.

However, I figured I might not be the only one who wanted this functionality, so I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone else has figured out how to do it.

Thanks!

Um, why in the world would you want this? Have your users just create a new forum post?????

Thanks for the reply, but if you don't actually have an answer, why bother with a reply? It's not really any help at all, now is it?

I have an excellent reason for needing a forum that has posts that have very specific information in them, and by having a form, I can make sure the users include the proper information.

I have an excellent reason for needing a forum that has posts that have very specific information in them, and by having a form, I can make sure the users include the proper information.

I'm also very interested in such a feature/script. The reason is actualy quite simple. I run a World of Warcraft Guild site using Joomla/fireboard. I know I could just make a public forum and have people post their application in that, but I want more control over content and layout of the application, hence I want to use RsForm. Submitting the form content as a post in a fireboard thread makes it easier for other (already registered) members to peruse the applications.

So you see there are valid reasons why you would want to post RsForm contents to your forum ;)<br><br>Post edited by: guido.heye, at: 2008/06/09 20:48
