TOPIC: Mandatory select field where one doesnt count

Mandatory select field where one doesnt count 16 years 11 months ago #265

Hello,

Im trying to create a mandatory select field where the default value (\"select\") does not count as one of the mandatory options.

Here is an example:

Im trying to create a mandatory Title field where the options are:
Select, Mr, Mrs, Ms.

I would like the select menu to be mandatory, but at the moment when I make the field mandatory, \"Select\" will satisfy the mandatory condition, which creates a problem because the user can just choose \"select\" and move on.

Delete \"Select|Select\" in the \"default value\" field, and just put \",\" on the begining.

Or, if you want to keep the Select value, add this line

|Select,Mr|Mr,Mrs|Mrs,Ms|Ms

If you notice, the select does not have a value, this triggers the javascript alert. Try it and let me know.
