I try to use the form as a module. I put it below information pages. Yhis customers can directly ask a question that's related to the above info without having to go to a contact page. However I have three questions/issues:

1) The thank you page is not showing (I filled in the necessary text)
2) when entering insufficient info, visitors will be routed to the index page of my website instead of back to the form showing me what fields were incorrect.
3) After having send the form, I want the customers to be directed to the page from which they submitted the form, not the index page.

Has anyone resolved these issues before?

index.php?option=com_forme&fid=1

How do I change this link other than through phpmyadmin? It seems to be unaccesible.<br><br>Post edited by: wout, at: 2008/03/17 15:03

Does anyone have a clue what I'm doing wrong?

The form does send the messsage, but:
- if the fields were filled in incorrectly the sender will never know as he has been routed away to index.php&some-form-variables
- if the form was filled in correctly the thank you message does not show and the sender is routed straight to index.php&some-form-variables

This way the form is useless to me. Would be very gratefull is someone can help me out.

If you have entered text into the 'Thank You' section of the main admin page of RSForm and it is still not showing when information is submitted, I would guess that something is wrong with your installation. Have you tried re-installing? I've just installed the most up-to-date version, and it works perfectly for me.
2) when entering insufficient info, visitors will be routed to the index page of my website instead of back to the form showing me what fields were incorrect.

I assume that you mean that if a person hits submit and required information has not been completed, no error message is visible? If so, have you enabled validation for each of the required fields (eg. mandatory, numeric, etc) as well as entered a validation message? This works perfectly for me.
3) After having send the form, I want the customers to be directed to the page from which they submitted the form, not the index page.

Look at the 'Form Edit' section of the main admin panel for the form. It gives you an option to enter a Return URL (as well as providing instructions on how to customize this to your fields). Whatever URL you enter here will be the one the person is sent to after pressing submit (and viewing the thank you page, if enabled).

There is no need to edit the formlink at all (as far as I know), and I would suggest that you do not try to do so as you are liable to cause yourself more problems. Everything you need to do can be done from within the component (unless you specifically modify it to call some outside source).

Hello sonome,

I have already done evreything you're suggesting. Maybe the difference is that I try to use RSform as a MODULE? Maybe that doesn't work in Joomla1.5.??

Sorry, I missed the part of the post where you mentioned trying to use it as a module. Maybe it only works as a component.
