I have a site that I am building and I want to use Joomla. There are forms that are needed and the client would like those to be submitted using SSL encryption to protect the data. Is this possible using Joomla and the forms manager?

I would be very interested in this as well. Has anyone managed it?

I'm told that I may need to set the form up as a module - I'm thinking of looking how Virtue Mart - is using an SSL to protect registration of customers, that might give us a clue

Anyone know if there is word when a 1.5 module will come out? I'm planning on using this form software for my site and it will require a few forms that will be processing credit cards that will need to go over SSL.

Thanks.

This is my idea. Please confirm with the respectable people, RSJoomla.

RSFormPro does not require you to send any data via e-mail. Instead you choose, what data is sent over the internet.

You should secure the front and back end of joomla with SSL + Cert.
Have the admin e-mail only notify the admin of a order been placed.
Have your user check the records through the Secure back end of Joomla. This will eliminate the need for a encrypted e-mail which is still not safe.

At that time the data should only be passed securely into the admin database.

Did anything come out of this discussion? I just need to send the form to https: instead of it going to http:, any ideas?
