I seems a silly question, but I just installed 1.0.2, and I cannot find a screen, button or otherwise with which to create fields to use in my form.

Ok,

Please create a form. After you saved it(you can click apply, to remain in the same screen), Click the New button on top. I will change that in New Field to make it more clear.
