Hi,

We offer a service that requires users to fill in a detailed form with lots of fields. It is unlikely the users will have all information to hand and they will probably have to hunt down specific information. How would I go about allowing users to SAVE the data in an incomplete form and return later to finish it off.

I imagine this will involve 2 separate (but identical) forms, the original and then if they need to return they will load a form with an \"on display\" script that reloads the data. If this is correct could someone help me a little with the script? Also would this amend/overwrite the existing record or would it create a duplicate?

What you ask is by no means a simple little script.
It would require a pretty much complete rewrite of the component code.

Creating the forms is easy. Creating the php you're going to need to update the database and retrieve from the database...Well, that's A LOT of recoding.

If could be done but you'd probably have to pay a coder to do it cause right now, that's beyond the scope of RSForm.

Use the mapping plugin to store data and use this answer to retreive data:

Has this issue been addressed yet? I see this posting is over a year old. I am not a developer so I don't know if script or code will help me. Thanks.
