TOPIC: Am I Missing Something?

Am I Missing Something? 17 years 4 months ago #1515

This looks like a good tool, but it's not immediately clear how the pieces and parts work together. As I scroll through the forum, I find little tidbits of essential knowledge. There's a little info in the FAQ and a little more in the User Manual. Then I hack it out. Takes too long for something really simple.

Is there one place that says that I have to install specific component, modules, mambots, and plugins?
Is there one place that says how to insert code in content to make the form work?

I guess I'd like to get a cheat sheet that just gives me the full compliment of essentials.

Oh, I really do appreciate the quick answers on the forum. It's very nice to see someone who really wants others to use his tool.

Hi Paul,

the easiest way to start is by using the Add Sample Data example. From there you can start building your own form. I know there's a lack of documentation in the component, but i'm working on it. I already developed a sort of interactive user guide that will be embedded into RSform! also. It will come with the next verion.

Thanks Alex for the quick reply. It should not have to be very complex--just all the key points in one list.
