Hi I use Joomla extensivley for many of my clients, I thought I would try your RSForms component rather than the usual facile forms, however I my client using your software recieves quite a lot of spam even with the captcha applied, I was very dissapointed. Please can you advise on why your system attracts spam, as other components I use have had none at all.

some other client already told me it get's spam messages even with the captcha on. I am going to study this next week, when i'll develop the new version, and hopefully come up with a fix for this.

Yup, I can confirm that I too am having problems with this. This needs serious attention, captcha is clearly not working as it should.

this is lame. both of my forms are getting bombarded with spam with captcha enabled. when do we see a fix!!! otherwise im pulling it and finding another solution.

I too am getting spammed. Just lately, 5 times in an hour.

Also experiencing problems with spam (1 every ten minutes) and captcha field included in forms.

Downloaded and installed \"BadBehavior 2.0.15 anti-spam for Joomla\" and have not had any spam since.

Maybe worth a try!

This isn't a problem with RSform's captcha. Hackers/spammers have cracked captcha security checks a while back. Google \"captcha cracked\" or \"captcha hacked\" and you'll see its a net-wide issue. Yes it will cut down some but won't protect your site from every spam bot out there. Try using some site security plugins, sh404sef has some security features built in or hit Joomla's extension and look for security plugins.

The picture captcha looks like it might be the next incarnation. So as annoying as it is, software can't protect you from everything, you'll have to look for more security features to implement on your sites.

I use rsform for two of my clients. They both work with Joomla 1.5 and they suffer massive spam.. Please provide a solution! Otherwise I have to ask my money back and search for an alternative.

I have also received spam mails (RSformPro) although captcha is active (as well as with the German as the English version of my contact form). Strange message with URLs are coming through, captcha field empty. I also need a solution.

Through the support I was told to update to the latest version. I did so right now and let's see if spam continues.

The update installation is easy - should be absolutely no problem. I had no more spam since I installed the update.

Go to components/RSform/updates - it's self explaning. When you have downloaded the update file just install it as you do with components and modules. Just in case: make a backup (Backup/Restore - click here to generate a backup file) of your existing version before you install the update.
