TOPIC: forms not arriving in my in box

forms not arriving in my in box 17 years 5 months ago #1275

I have created several forms and have tested them. When I submit a message comes up to say that the form has been submitted successfully but nothing is arriving in my in box. I have tested with several different e-mail address but not having any luck with any of them.

I am using Yahoo as my web host and set up an e-mail address, under my business name, especially to receive the forms but nothing is going through.

Also make sure that Email subject and Email text are not empty.

Please let me know.

That worked, thanks. So simple to solve.

One follow on question. Is there any way I can just have the whole form e-mailed to me or do I need to set up the e-mail that goes to me to include all the different sections of the form?

Thanks

Further to that last question, I made up the e-mail to myself to simply include all of the information in the form, for example:

{firstname}
{middlename}
{familyname}

and so on.

That worked fine but then I need to know what all the information is (my form isn't as simple as just asking a name) so I changed the e-mail to be more along the lines of:

first name: {firstname}
middle name: {middlename}
Family name: {familyname}

and you get the idea.

That didn't work. for some reason the e-mails to me were coming up completely blank. Not sure why.

Stupid question, does the information submitted on the form actually get stored anywhere? I can have it all e-mailed to me but where else does this information go? Can I simply log on to my backend and find it somewhere? That would be much more simple.

Hello Andrew, that is very strange indeed. Please if your form still does not send e-mails, backup the form and send it to me so i can try it.

The data is stored in the database. You can see it in the backend by clicking on View data, or when you access the Forms Manager, click on the Data column(something like Today 10,Month 100, All 1000.

Hello,

I have Forme 1.0.2 installed.
When I test the form, I receive exactly the same email as the client, about the order being processed. I never receive the datas of the form. If I fill the email with all the datas, we both receive it. But even then I don't receive the content of the radio button fields, or the checked boxes. I don't know the client's choice.

Best regards and thanks for your help... in advance

I also receive the same email as the sender, but no form data. I have tried using various combinations of email addresses, nothing seems to send the form data. I can see the data by selecting \"View Data\" and it is all there, but it is not being sent to the \"To\" address.
Yeah, it's all there... except for the radio butons or the checked boxes... Everything's empty there

Hello Guys,

the radio/checks should work without problems. Please give me a link to your forms, and i'll tell you what the problem is.

tchernopuss,

please edit your radio field, and in the default value paste this:

Pastel|Pastel

Bouquet|Bouquet

The problem is you created a radio field for each of the options. This allows multiple radio selections, because the field id is different.

In RSform! 1.0.4 you could be doing this:

Pastel|Pastel,Bouquet|Bouquet,Bouquet rond|Bouquet rond,Arrangement|Arrangement,Panier|Panier,Gerbe|Gerbe,Couronne|Couronne

and the radio fields would be displayed correctly.

Mconn, RSform sends only one e-mail. The idea was to configure it to send the data to you and your customer in parallel. But since you are handling payment, the fair way should be to send different e-mail messages to you and the customer. Since many people are asking me about the e-mails problem, i will change the way it's managed in the next version. The administrator will receive an email containing the data that he chooses to show in e-mail, and the customer will receive the customized thank you message.

That would be really great...
Anyway, for my problem. In the administration pannel, I have the buttons well displayed ; thanks. But in the email, I receive this : {genrecolore},{genrepastel},{genrebouquet},{genrebouquetrond},{genrearrangement},{genrepanier},{genregerbe},{genrecouronne}
Simply the list of the all the fields, being checked or not. I tried with check boxes, and it's the same.
What I want to do is an order form for a flower shop, allowing the customer to choose different options for the flowers he orders... That's why you can choose more than one of them. I'm not the shop owner and I'd prefer for him to receive everything in email ; it's better if he doesn't hav to check the adminnistration.

Hey Mconn,

in the \"thank you\" email(that you can edit by going to the Emails tab), just add placeholders with your field ids like this:

Card name: {cardname}
Card address: {cardaddress}

and so on...
