I hate to be a total noob but after setting up the form and testing it, I can't seem to get the email to come to my email address. I trolled through the forums and did what was suggested in the posts but it still doesn't seem to work. When creating the form, I have put the following information in the \"Emails\" tab:

Email Form data to: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it (this is the email address I want to send the form to)
Email Form data FROM: I have put in the email address that is in my configuration.php file.

The This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it is just a dummy email address for this post. I am using a known address to send the email address to.

What am I doing wrong?

Nice component by the way. Does exactly what I need.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry for taking so long to respond. I did make sure to put in information in the email subject and email text areas. I did, however, notice that I had 1 letter in the email in configuration.php wrong so I changed it and then tested it again. I still didn't get anything in my inbox.

Thanks for helping.

Please let me know one thing:

when you create a new user on your website, does it get the Confirmation mail message from joomla? This is a test to see if your mailing works with joomla.

Thanks. I had not tested the email until today through the new user activation since we have no users (other than myself). But I did some testing and found out that it was not working. In my configuration.php, mail was set to go through sendmail. I changed it to PHP but that didn't work either. So I changed it to SMTP and put in all the info for the account. Worked like a charm.

Thank you very much!
