TOPIC: require email response for submission of form?

require email response for submission of form? 14 years 2 months ago #9953

We use RSforms to take registrations for a summer camp.

It is essential that we have a valid email address for each registrant. It isn't enough for us to simply validate that the address they enter *could* be a valid email address. We need to MAKE SURE they can receive email from us before we allow them to submit the form and reserve a spot.

One way to go about this is to have them fill out the form and instead of a submit button actually sending the data to the database... it would instead send an email to the user asking them to click a link to confirm the submission. Upon clicking that link... the form is finally submitted and info entered into the database, other confirmation emails are sent, etc. This is like what happens when you register for a website and instead of your registration being accepted straight away... you get an email and have to click a link to finish the registration.

Can RSFormsPro do this? If not... does anyone have an idea as to how we could do something similar?

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

Unfortunately RSform!Pro does not have this feature included by default. You could simulate this with the help of some custom scripts placed in the "Scripts" tab of your form. These scripts would require PHP and MySQL knowledge.
