TOPIC: Could not instantiate mail function.

Could not instantiate mail function. 14 years 11 months ago #7569

Hello,

I have seen this problem appearing in past posts, but after reading through, I have not found a solution. Here's the problem:

When a user completes the form: http://www.marketingoc.com/video-spokesperson-audition-profile.html they receive the message: Could not instantiate mail function

They also do not receive the User Email that I am sending to: {email:value}

However, I receive the Admin email confirming the form submittal.

I also was able to set up a new user registration for the joomla admin, and I received that email.

So, I can see that emails are being sent from the Joomla admin, but not the user emails with RSForm Pro.

Here are my system settings:

PHP Built on: Linux infong 2.4 #1 SMP Tue Dec 18 22:34:10 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux
Database Version: 5.0.51a-log
Database Collation: utf8_general_ci
PHP Version: 5.2.9
Web Server: Apache
Web Server to PHP interface: cgi
Joomla! Version: Joomla! 1.5.11 Production/Stable [ Vea ] 03-June-2009 03:30 GMT

____

I have tried both PHP Mail and send mail, and neither improves on this result.

I am attaching the user email screen for a double check that this is set up correctly. I appreciate any help I can get on this.

Thanks!

That's not much help, Bogdanc.

I have the same problem and I have checked that all the email addresses are valid and I am receiving notices from Joomla when a new user is added.

Any other suggests?

Thanks,

Frank

After double checking again I found I had used the wrong field in the To on the User tab. When I corrected this it all worked.

Thanks!
