Hello,

Define the items in your dropdown like this:
sales_email@yourdomain.com|Sales department
project_manager@yourdomain.com|New projects
office@yourdomain.com|Office email

On the Admin or User Email tab, write the dropdown's placeholder in the To: field. For eg. if your dropdown is named \"dropdown\", use {dropdown:value}

Hi there, im using the exact technique but it doesn work....it seems the component is using the text to the right of the pipe...i mean, in my case is not using the email....

also , in the Submissions Tab, the value that appears is not the email... anyone knows why?

Hello,

The items are divided like this:
value_being_sent|value_being_shown_to_the_user

If you're using this correct formatting, it will work 100%.

Working with this, and it works great, but i'd like to include what the user sees as the selected dropdown option in the email that is sent.

i've tried label and value, but its not displaying the shown dropdown text.

only what is on the left side of the |

Thanks for the help!

Hello Alan,

In RSForm!Pro you don't have to insert the values in the Default Value. You have a textarea named Items, where you have to put them like this:

email1@hotmail.com|General
email2@hotmail.com|support

I've just got the RSform Pro license. So I still don't how to use at the perfection the component.

I created a new form. And there is a dropdown. According to the choice, the form will be sent to the concerned email address.
So I followed your instructions (well... what I've understood) and here is what I've done.

For the field:
Title: Choice
Type: Select
Default value: email1@hotmail.com|General,email2@hotmail.com|support

Then in the email Tab:
Email Form data to: {Choice:value},{email}

When I try the form on the website, I got the following message:
\"The form has been submitted successfully. Thank you!\"

Unfortunately, I don't receive either in email1 or email2 mailbox.

Can you tell me what's wrong ?

Thanks.
