TOPIC: Form Import/Export

Form Import/Export 16 years 10 months ago #3484

It would be nice to be able to export a form from one site to another. Just a thought. B)

Another nice thing to have would be an indicator for set to required on the components page where the list of fields resides. Just would make it easy to tell if I had set a field to required or not.<br><br>Post edited by: dixie.harrison, at: 2008/06/26 20:25

Ditto - I've been using facile forms for a while, and that was one of the features there that was very useful. RSForm's ajax editing and other functionality now has me convinced to switch, but need to just workout a better way to import/export single forms as I develop things for clients who may have other forms.

At the moment, having to backup, edit the sql (remove truncate commands, edit form id number for the new form number in the various tables) then restore it to the second site location is not as streamlined as an export/import routine could be.

I also concure,
if you use a similar form on various sites it would be good to have the ability to export import
saves time and the customer money

cheers

It is hard to believe there is no EXPORT / IMPORT feature. This is a must. I have number of forms which I need to reuse on other sites. IT would be insanely stupid to recreate them every time I need one.

I routinely backup a form or forms from one site using RSForm's backup/restore feature and restore to another site (without recreating the form). I keep a folder of the forms I reuse on my laptop. What's so hard about that?
