I'm trying to setup a form that allows people to choose 1 person from a pull down list (each is a user in my Joomla install). The drop-down has the username as the value:

Drop-down named "Candidate"
Values:
joe1|Joe Smith
fbar|Foo Bar
jdoe|Jane Doe

Then those people (from the list - Joe, Foo, Jane) can go to a submission directory to see a list of submissions that selected them. So I had hoped to use the "advanced filter" under menu items and set it to:

If Candidate is {global:username}

but that's not working. It works fine when I change it to the actual text value of a username (joe1, fbar, jdoe), but I don't want to create 12 new report menu items every time I have to use this.

So I'm hoping there is a value I can place in there, and make it all work. Otherwise, I'd love some advice on any other solutions.
