TOPIC: associate a form to a user.

associate a form to a user. 4 years 10 months ago #40209

I want to associate a form to a user.

I know that users can see their own Submissions with "Submissions - View" menu. This is ok but what I want is;

There are forms which are associate with some users. e.g. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it is a user and there is form that sends email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . When This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it logs in, he must see only the Submissions that sent to him.

I hope I managed to explain :)

Is that possible ?

Thanks.

Hello,

If the user is logged-in while submitting the form, then the submission is automatically associated with the logged-in user in question.

If you actually want to associate a certain user to your form submission (without necessarily being logged-in) then you can take a custom approach. The mappings feature can be used to perform an update query on the "#__rsform_submissions" table where you can change the "Username" and "UserId" columns to the desired user's details.

I would recommend submitting your forms a few times with logged-in users to view exactly how the data is being added in the above table. It is also recommended that you perform a backup of your database before using the mappings feature.
