Hello,

After updating to RS Form Pro 2.0.13, my form stopped working.
No mails are sent, no submission is being saved and the form does not redirect to thank you page...

I have this issue in over 20 websites. Extremely irritating. Specially because this is a data breach according to European privacy law (GDPR).

Anyone else has this problem?

Hi Manuel,

Yes. The issue was not related to the update but to the Cache in Joomla.

I had cache enabled and also the "page cache" plugin enabled.
Then I placed form in website using the content plugin and shortcode.
In this scenario the layout of the form was cached, but not the function.
Which is why it was not working.

There were some possible solutions for me:
  1. Disable the pache cache plugin, or disable cache all together
  2. Add the form page as exception (in page cache plugin configuration)
  3. Use RS form menu item, instead of article with shortcode. Then it works nicely together with page cache.

I hope this solves your problem?

Hey Tom,

thank you for your time and your help! Yes it helps in the way that I see there are limited ways to solve it.
I´m using RS Form Pro via plugin and shortcode on over 40 landing-pages as a short contact-form.
Those pages are well optimized and caching is one factor to load them fast, especially because people can jump from landing page to landing page...

So far I don´t see a way to include the form an leave cache enabled at the same time. To renounce to one of both isn´t a solution at the moment.

Hi Manuel,

I understand your problem.
Have you tried using the RS form pro module instead of the shortcode?
You could create a module and then load the module instead of the shortcode..

I have not tried it..
But since the menu item for contact form fixes the issue, maybe the module will also..

Best of luck. ;) Let me know how that goes?

PS: Don't forget you can also disable the module cache (advanced tab), but it might not be needed.

Hi Tom,

I tried it with loadmodule, but that doesn´t work either.
I found a way with the JOTcache plugin:
  1. I installed the JOTcache plugin
  2. disabled the joomla cache
  3. set JOTcache to integrate JCH optimize *just needed if you use JCH optimize

Finally it works great for me and I rechecked my website-performance without any loss!

Hello Manuel,

can I ask you if you use some special settings for JotCahce or JCH Optimize in connection with RS FORM? I am afraid of caching filled sent form - the url stays same in my case after confirm the form.

Thank you
Radek
