I have a form at boschservices.com/contact/project.

If the user enters a Yahoo or Gmail account in the email address field, the form appears to submit, the auto response page and the autoreponder email are sent to the submitter, the submission is recorded in the Joomla backend but I get an error in the page
Notice - Could not instantiate mail function.
and, the admin does not receive the submission by email. It is not caught by the admin's spam folder
and however the admin does not receive the submission.

If I an email address from my domain (not related to the domain the form is on) everything works perfectly. There is no instantiate mail error, all emails are sent to the user and admin.

As an experiment, I changed the Admin send to address to another address unrelated to the domain the form is on and the results were the same, no admin email being received.

This has me baffled - any ideas?

Thanks

I had a similar problem and found that if I changed the "From" field (within the Admin Emails) from {Email:value} to something like " This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it " resolved the problem. I will add {Email:value} to the "Reply To" in order to easily reply to the Yahoo & Gmail senders.

You might give it a try but it seems like Yahoo & GMail (and maybe other Free email services) are blocking the emails because the default "From" field is the users @yahoo or gmail email which may look like somebody is spoofing their servers since they know it wasn't generated from them.

Hope it helps... Good Luck!
Brian
