We have a dropdown field on our form with the following options;

Please select the relevant department ...
sales@xxxxxxx.com|Sales
service@xxxxxx.com|Service
delivery@xxxxxx.com|Delivery

This dropdown field validation is set to "yes".

The problem is that some customers do not select the relevant department. They leave this field with "Please select the relevant department ...". The result is that the relevant department does not receive any email. We manually have to forward the customer messages from our catch all email account to the relevant departments.

We require the validation to ignore the first line (Please select the relevant department ...) and only validate the field on the following lines.

Can anybody please help!?

Use this instead:

|Please select the relevant department ...
sales@xxxxxxx.com|Sales
service@xxxxxx.com|Service
delivery@xxxxxx.com|Delivery
