I only get a white screen with a happy face emoticon after I submit my new post. My subject is:

How to send an extra email, based on field value

I expect a successful post to result in a success message giving me a URL to my new post.

Not sure to what post are you referring to, but from what i can see, this is the first one submitted by your account.

As for the additional email to be sent depending on a field option, then yes, this is possible via the RSForm!Pro PHP Email scripts area. More details on this topic here:

Hi AlexP,

Thanks a bunch for your link to the PHP Scripts in the document area. It answered my original question, about how to control whether to send out an extra email based on a field value in my form.

Andrea C. kindly give me a more specific answer in the support forum. It could be that before working through his answer, I might not have understood the answer in the document link.

I changed the subject of my post to help others find this info and I'll repeat your link here: www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/r...p-email-scripts.html

I still don't know why my original submit failed with the white screen with the smiling emoticon result. I tried two or three times.

Cheers,
Carol

We do have a spam filter because the forum was filled with spam posts a few years back and stopped when we installed it - perhaps your text triggered it, albeit it was a mistake.
