TOPIC: Hide field as spam trap and deny submission

Hide field as spam trap and deny submission 9 years 9 months ago #32266

Hello,

Sorry if there is info somewhere in the forums for this, but I would like to do the following for spam prevention:

1) Add a text field and hide it with CSS for human visitors

2) How to i (or what code do I add to rsform pro) to tell reform to deny submission of the form IF there is any data entered into this hidden text field?

I know how to hide the fields with css, but I dont know how to (or what code to use) to tell rsform not to accept the submission if text is entered into this hidden field.

ALSO, is there a way to put a submission time limit on a form? EG: if the web form is filled out in 5 seconds, then deny submission of the form, as 5 no human could fill out the form in 5 seconds.

I am sure you are aware of these spam prevention techniques.

Thanks for the help,

The first method is already available in RSForm!Pro via the invisible captcha field type:
