TOPIC: Add a value from a form from multiple submissions

Add a value from a form from multiple submissions 9 years 8 months ago #32102

Greetings,
I have seen this done a few times, but I can't seem to get enough details to make it work for my form. here is what I have:

I have a form that counselors use to submit their client notes. I have created a field that calculates how much they are making for the session using the the [session time] in hours * [rate per hour] to get the [total pay for session]. Example. The time is 1.5 hours and the rate is $25 per hour so the total pay for that session is $25*1.5 = $37.5 or 30 minutes = $25*.5 = $12.50

OK - This works like a charm. Here is where i have the problem. I need to be able to have a new form that the manager will have access that has the total pay for all of the different counselors for the weekly payroll. So this form needs to collect the [total pay for session] and add them up for a total weekly pay [total weekly pay] for each counselor.

It's the same as showing data from another form, I just need to data to be added up to give me a total.

Any help would be appreciated.
Alex

Multi submissions from same form added in NEW FORM 9 years 8 months ago #32268

Let me put this another way in order to see if this is possible with this application.

I want to get a certain field [PaymentDue:Value] across several different forms, and compile the results on a single form. In simple terms here is what I am asking.

Counselor 1 - Form 1
Counselor 2 - Form 2
Counselor 3 - Form 3
Pay manager - Form 4

(The reason that all of the counselors have different forms is because they each have different clients, so with 15 counselors and over 200 clients, the tab down list were massive. this way they only see their own clients and it's easier to navigate)

OK.... I would like to be able to take the [PaymentDue] values across several submissions for one counselor and have them add up on the Form 4 as maybe [TotalDue] I know that if I can figure out how to pull the multiple [PaymentDue] submissions I could use the calculation feature to ad them, I'm just trying to figure out how to pull from multiple submissions.

If I could get one done, then I could replicate that for every other counselor. I know people have asked how to pull information from form a into form b, but can you pull multiple submissions from form a into form b and not just one submission.
