Paste the following into your 'fulltext (mediumtext)' field
<table>
	<tbody>
		<tr>
			<td style="width: 400px; text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><img style="margin-top: 3px; margin-bottom: 4px; border: 5px solid #004b88;" src="{UploadImage:path}" alt="My Image" /></span></strong>&nbsp;</td>
		</tr>
	</tbody>
</table>

Works fine for me in Joomla 2.5

Name your upload field 'UploadImage'
