TOPIC: New Submissions Directory and Field Validation

New Submissions Directory and Field Validation 11 years 8 months ago #24857

I do see a way to add field validation to front-end submission editing. Is this correct?
For example, using the RSform demo form, a user could easily update their email address and not format it properly. Similarly, the Google Map field, radio buttons, etc., are lost when updating the form (it looks like it all raw data editing).

The scripts section allows me to do some mapping, but many of the features native to the original form appear to be lost.

In any event, this feature is a great step forward. I hope that you will consider mirroring the form edit feature with the original form.
Best.

Hello,

If your email field has the email validation rule, the format within that field will only accept valid email addresses (when editing submission information in the frontend area).

I'm not quite sure I understand "data lost when updating form". Can you provide me with a more detailed explanation on this?

Indeed, the submission listing simply displays the submissions information, it will not incorporate the form's full functionality, but the field validation rules would still be in effect.
