TOPIC: form results different when form emailed to me

form results different when form emailed to me 11 years 11 months ago #23093

Hi

I am guessing I have done something wrong or missed something so would appreciate some help to solve my problem or can someone point in the right direction of documentation I need to read.

This is my form (below) which was created via the wizard with the simple contact form and extras added. I then altered the size of the fields. Only the name and email is as required, other’s are optional. I have created them and placed them in an article. I have the content plugin installed and published. However when I fill in the form (all fields) (frontend) and have the information emailed to me I get strange results (see below form) However all information is placed in the RSJoomla database. Can anyone help please Thanks Tracey

Hello,

RSForm!Pro comes with a predefined message within the email body. You will have to use your form specific placeholders that are replaced upon form's submission in order for them to actually work.

You can view your form's specific placeholders by clicking on the "Toggle Quick Add" button, located in the upper right corner of form's Properties > Form Info Emails.

More information on placeholders and how to setup the user/admin email please refer to the following articles:

Hi Adrain, I would like to thank you so much for your reply / help. I watched the video which was easy to follow and have tested the form and it is working brilliantly now. I guessed it was something to do with the code not being sent but couldn't work it out how to alter it so thank you again.
