TOPIC: How do I create visual display showing up to 100%

How do I create visual display showing up to 100% 12 years 3 days ago #23010

Hi

I have a form where teachers select and make a booking. Currently, the activities are all 4 hours. However, we are introducing 1 and 2 hour activities and we want teachers to be able to select a number of events up to 4 hours total.

1. Can I give each activity in either a multiple dropdown list or checkbox list a numeric value (either 1 or 2) to represent the number of hours duration?
2. Can I display a bar (I've seen some nice CCS progress bars) that shows the total amount of time selected (up to 4 hours) - represented as four 25% segments? For example a teacher can select UP TO 4 hours so could have 4 X 1-hour activities, 2 x 2-hour activities, 2 x 1-hour + 1 x 2-hour activities etc.

I want the bar to show the currently selected number of hours as represented by the activities chosen.

I kind of have the logic worked out but I'm not sure how to code this up.

Can anyone help??

Thanks in advance, David :)
