Firstly, RS Form - WOW!!!!

My problem, i am building a website for an insurance company who uses RS Forms Pro to generate the form for use in making claims, a good 20 pages long with all sorts of drivval about how to take our hard earned money that we give to insurance companies and tell us that they wont pay out lol

Anyway, part of th form is about witnesses details. Currenlty there are three fields for three witnesses. What im looking to do is to be able to input the number of witnesses into a field, which opens up the corresponding number of witness data fields ("witness name" - "witness address" - "witness telephone number" etc etc)

I go thinking of a form within a form, but doenst that just duplicate data and field names, hmmm confusing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Another option for this idea would be able to add a control button that opens up another form within this one. I can create duplicate forms with different prefixes for the field names. That way the client would click "add witness" and this would open up the next set of witness details fields.

Unfortunately, there's no built-in functionality RSForm! Pro for this. Due to the versatility of RSForm! Pro, you can however use Javascript to achieve this, but it would require strong scripting knowledge.

A couple of years ago (long before the conditional code was added to RSFP) I paid to have a form done that would allow a user to pick a number from a Radio button and then the same number of "groups" of data entry points would appear. (Mine is for adding info for the number of cars you own.) It works very well, select 3 and you get 3 of the entry points.

But you are on your own changing it to make it work for you situation. I'm not a programmer so I can't help with any mods that may be needed. It is Java script so it should be fairly easy if you know that.
