Hi

I am new to RSForm Pro, please bear with me if this is a stupid question.

I am trying to create a master-detail form that has a typical one-to-many relationship such as an order header with multiple order lines, each order line will have fields like item code, price, quantity, etc.

It seems that there is no support for repeatable subgroup or subforms in RSForm Pro.

Any help in this matter is much appreciated.

Regards
Jim

Not sure if this is a feature yet but would be nice to get a confirmation on this.
Deleted code is debugged code.

I'm trying to solve this problem right now...my first course is to inject some newline fields (hidden, perhaps) between the individuals so that when I export it to csv, xls, etc., they will go to the next line...but any help is appreciated. In the meantime I'll keep hacking away at it.

I figured this out...if the end result is to produce an Excel spreadsheet with 20 rows that has 20 registrants from one submission.

You can create fields in your form called newline1, newline2...put them where they should logically fall after the individual registrants.

The field default value should contain \n. Experiment with \n,,,,, if you need to also move the individual registrant fields to align offset to some data that should be copied down for all entries (for example, if you want each of the 20 registrant records to have the field showing the person that registered them).

Here's the fun part...even though you've put them in your form where the "line breaks" should happen for your spreadsheet, mark them unpublished so they don't affect the presentation of your form.

When you need to export them, temporarily publish them (registration is now closed, limiting the chance your form is affected by this temporary publishing). When they are published, they appear in the submission. Export to CSV with the quotes OFF (just delete that default option). BAM. You might need to experiment with the spacing if you added commas.

Hope that helps,
Chris

please note: If you open the file by double-clicking, Excel will not interpret this properly. You HAVE to open Excel first, then import the file. Weird but true.
