Is it possible to use a table layout in the ITEMS LIST to create a horizontal and vertical aligned list of checkboxes?

I have 19 checkboxes that a user can select at random, and I would like them to all be aligned on 4 different rows.

I have tried adding a table layout to the ITEMS LIST, but it doesn't work. It created checkboxes for each <td> and then displays the table below the boxes with the text aligned in columns and rows.

Hi, I have a similar question - I want to be able to put check boxes and their text on the same line, and put them into rows/columns for ease of readability.

I've checked the forum for checkbox info, but couldn't find anything answering this?

Hope someone knows!

Thanks

Can anyone shed some light on this please? I think this is a common one.
Deleted code is debugged code.

I am also interested in doing something like this but haven't been able to find out how. I'd like to put about 20 checkboxes into 4 columns but can't figure out how to do it. I purchased RSForms because I heard that it could do everything but it looks like it may still require coding beyond my skill level. The ability to neatly organize checkboxes should be a feature of any decent forms extension.

It would be easier to simply use two checkbox groups (one for each column). Within the Properties > Form Layout area, simply arrange the existing HTML code to reflect a two column layout.
